Role summary
Executes the approved PLTE design and configuration template to configure and stage private cellular core, radios, and user equipment for field installation at the staging site. This is a hands-on execution role that follows established runbooks and checklists; it does not hold design or architecture authority.
Key responsibilities
- Receive, inventory, and verify equipment against the approved BOM.
- Load and configure the edge private cellular core from the provided template on supplied RHEL v9.
- Configure radios and provision user equipment (UEs) using per-site values from the RF/design template.
- Apply labeling, asset tagging, and cabling per the staging standard.
- Perform bench pre-flight verification (core – radio – UE connectivity) using the standard checklist.
- Kit, package, and stage systems for transport to the field.
- Complete staging logs, as-built records, and hand-off documentation.
- Escalate exceptions and template gaps to the SME; do not improvise design changes.
Required skills & experience
- Hands-on IT/network hardware staging and cabling experience.
- Ability to follow detailed runbooks, configuration templates, and checklists precisely.
- Working Linux familiarity (RHEL) — command-line navigation and running provided procedures.
- Basic IP networking (addressing, VLAN/port concepts) sufficient to apply templated values.
- Comfort with structured documentation and accurate record-keeping.
Preferred (not required)
- Exposure to private LTE/5G, small cells, or radio configuration.
- Familiarity with a private cellular core platform (e.g., Druid) via vendor runbook.
- Prior equipment staging / depot or field-deployment experience.
