Job Summary:
We are looking for a dependable and adaptable Travel Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to support our therapy teams across multiple locations. The PTA will work under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist to help patients improve mobility, strength, and physical function. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys travel, flexibility, and providing hands-on patient care in diverse settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in implementing physical therapy treatment plans as directed by the supervising Physical Therapist.
- Guide patients through exercises and therapeutic activities to improve mobility and function.
- Monitor and document patient responses and progress.
- Communicate with the Physical Therapist and healthcare team regarding patient status.
- Educate patients and families on exercises and proper use of equipment.
- Travel to various assignments and quickly adapt to different clinical environments.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
- Active state PTA license (or eligibility in assigned states).
- CPR certification.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Flexibility and willingness to travel and work in a variety of settings.
