Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Plasma Table Operator to join our manufacturing team on second shift. In this role, you will operate and maintain a plasma cutting machine to produce precise metal components according to detailed blueprints and specifications. Your expertise will ensure high-quality fabrication, efficient workflow, and adherence to safety standards. Duties
- Set up and calibrate plasma cutting tables, ensuring proper alignment and operational readiness for each job.
- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to accurately cut sheet metal and fabricated components.
- Conduct quality inspections using micrometers, calipers, precision measuring instruments, and visual checks to verify dimensions and surface finishes meet specifications.
- Maintain safety protocols by handling hand tools, sheet metal materials, tooling, cranes, and forklifts responsibly while ensuring a safe working environment.
- Perform routine maintenance on plasma tables and related equipment to maximize uptime and operational accuracy.
- Collaborate with team members on assembly tasks, fabrication projects, and tooling adjustments to meet production deadlines.
Skills
- Proficiency in operating plasma cutting systems
- Ability to read blueprints accurately and interpret technical drawings with GD&T standards.
- Familiarity with sheet metal fabrication techniques using hand tools, and press brake machines.
- Competence in using quality inspection tools such as micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and other precision measuring instruments.
- Experience operating forklifts and cranes safely within a manufacturing environment.
- Basic math skills for calculating dimensions, tolerances, and material quantities.
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to machining operations and material handling in a manufacturing setting.
