General Summary
Under the general direction of the Senior Supply Chain Manager, the primary role of the Shipper and Receiver is to assist
in various capacities including, but not limited to, shipping, receiving, inventory management, and
inspection.
Shipping/Receiving/Inventory Management Identifies proper products for shipment by reading and understanding Packing Slip and Sales Order Pick List details Checks that all orders are filled correctly both in product type, size and quantities Fabricates boxes, packs orders and completes required documentation Accurately enters necessary information into inventory system Accurately executes shipping documents, including but not limited to, UPS or FEDEX labels, Bills of Lading, Commercial Invoices and export documents] Knowledge of packaging and shipping Hazardous Materials, both ground and air Loads and unloads product from trucks Identifies incoming materials and correctly matches documentation (i.e purchase orders, certifications, etc.). Obtains documentation internally or externally when necessary Checks that all outgoing sales and/or purchase orders are executed correctly in product types, sizes, quantities and documentation required Locates incoming materials in proper hold or storage areas

- Utilizes and ensures compliance with FIFO inventory management practices Replenishes raw materials, shipping supplies, mixing/pouring supplies and stocking of finished goods
- Organizes shipments with trucking/transport vendors, including scheduling, getting quotes and negotiating rates
- Tracks critical shipments, prioritizes and organizes timely deliveries
- Arranges warehouse for cleanliness, efficiency and safety
- Arranges outside property, including storage containers, for cleanliness, efficiency and safety
- Executes periodic and accurate inventory count and verification
- Interacts with shipping/transport vendors on shipping issues related to rates, documentation, ship issues, safety and legislation changes Participates in Safety Training
- To conform to U.S. Government export control regulations and the Naval Nuclear Propulsion Information restrictions, applicant must be a U.S citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorization from the U.S. Department of State or Department of Commerce.
