Machining Manager, the primary role is to produce machined parts by
setting up and operating a CNC machine; maintaining quality using
precision instruments and safety standards, keeping records, and
Maintaining Equipment And Supplies. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND
RESPONSIBILITIES: CNC machinist is responsible for set up and operation
of CNC router (Multicam 5000) Plans machining by studying work orders,
blueprints engineering plans, materials, specifications, reference
planes, locations of surfaces and machining parameters, interpreting
geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T). Loads feed mechanism by
lifting stock into position. Producing quality parts according to
blueprints and company quality standards. Maintains specifications by
observing milling, drilling, grooving and cutting, taking measurements;
detecting malfunctions; trouble shooting processes, identifying and
sharpening/replacing worn tools; adhering to quality assurance
procedures and processes. Maintains equipment by completing preventative
maintenance requirements Ensure all safety guidelines at all times and
maintains a clean environment. Able to use precision equipment to
measure and maintain specifications (tape measure, scale, caliper,
micrometer, etc.) Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety
procedures and regulations. Maintains equipment by completing preventive
maintenance requirements; following manufacturers instructions,
Troubleshooting Malfunctions, Calling For Needed Repairs. Perform Other
duties as assigned. GENERAL Conducts morning start-up of equipment
Maintains a clean and organized work area and general housekeeping
TYPICAL EQUIPMENT USED: 3 or more axis machining center Various hand
tools Tape measures, calipers and other measuring devices Carts, dollies
and other heavy weight moving equipment KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
High school diploma or GED Machinist II: 3 years of experience in CNC
machine operation and set-up Demonstrated understanding of tool holders
and tool types Demonstrated understanding of differing feed and speed
settings Demonstrated understanding of tool path following/alternative
paths Experience on CNC router Multicam and others CNC Milling machine
is a plus ( Haas, Campro with Fanuc control) Conceptual skills Basic
math skills Ability to operate & enter data into standard Windows based
computers Good verbal and written communication skills Strong attention
to detail Works well with multi-functional teams. Analytical
thinking/problem solving Excellent organizational skills Ability to
multi-task and be dependable, flexible and adaptable to meet changing or
multiple deadlines Ability to take initiative to identify a problem,
obstacle or opportunity and take action within the scope of the
position, as authorized Ability to exercise judgment to solve
operational problems where the answer is not apparent Mechanical
aptitude Ability to read and understand QC inspection documentation
Visual acuity to identify surface quality defects 1/32 and larger
Willing to learn new machining and mold fabrication techniques.
Understand basic G&M code. WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS Must be
able to frequently lift and move up to 50 pounds Regular exposure to
noise, dust, high heat and chemicals Regular exposure to fumes or
airborne particles Frequent reaching with hands and arms Constant
standing and use of hands while performing essential functions of the
job. To conform to U.S. Government export control regulations and the
Naval Nuclear Propulsion Information restrictions, applicant must be a
U.S citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual
