Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role for a Freight Broker located in Plainview, NY, with some work-from-home flexibility. The Freight Broker will be responsible for coordinating freight shipments, negotiating rates with carriers, managing dispatch operations, and ensuring timely delivery of goods. The role involves maintaining strong customer relationships, providing exceptional service, and managing accounts to achieve revenue targets. The Freight Broker will also handle administrative tasks related to freight brokerage and ensure compliance with industry regulations.
Qualifications
- Freight Brokerage and general Brokerage skills
- Customer Service and Account Management experience
- Knowledge and experience in Dispatching
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Understanding of supply chain and logistics processes
- Experience in transportation management systems is a plus
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field is preferred
