Role Description This is a full-time hybrid Freight Broker role based in Melville, NY, with some work-from-home flexibility. The Freight Broker will manage the full lifecycle of freight movements, including sourcing and negotiating with carriers, securing capacity, and arranging pickups and deliveries. Daily responsibilities include communicating with shippers and carriers, monitoring load status, resolving service issues, and ensuring that all parties receive accurate, timely information. The role involves building and maintaining strong account relationships, providing responsive customer service, and identifying opportunities to optimize routes, costs, and service performance. The Freight Broker will also maintain detailed records in transportation management systems and adhere to all company and regulatory requirements.
