Qualifications:

  • PE candidates: 5 - 15 years of experience in the design of commercial, institutional, industrial, healthcare, and/or multifamily electrical systems. Professional Engineering (PE) licensure is required, with multistate eligibility.
  • EIT candidates: Electrical EIT candidates with 1–3 years of relevant electrical engineering/design experience will also be considered.
  • B.S. Degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET/EAC accredited program
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Able to independently attend project meetings and present specific aspects of engineering assignments
  • Able to lead the electrical design effort for assigned projects with minimal supervision
  • Able to work well in a team environment
  • Demonstrated ability to perform all aspects of electrical engineering for building systems
  • Demonstrated knowledge of applicable codes and standards, including but not limited to the NEC (National Electrical Code), NFPA 101 Life Safety Code, NFPA 72 (National Fire Alarm Code), building codes, energy codes, etc.
  • Proficient in writing and editing specifications using the CSI MasterFormat standard
  • Proficient in performing due diligence field work to gather relevant information needed for design
  • Proficient in construction administration tasks such as reviewing product submittals and shop drawings, responding to Requests for Information (RFIs), inspecting projects at various stages of construction, and providing field reports
  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Experience with SKM or similar electrical modeling software is a plus
  • AutoCAD and/or Revit MEP experience is a plus
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD is a plus
  • Proficiency in Revit MEP is a plus
  • Project management experience is a plus
