Assistant Rentals Manager – Turf Equipment
Help Build & Scale a High-Impact Rental Operation
Global Turf Equipment is looking for an Assistant Rentals Manager to support and grow our expanding rental business across Florida and the Caribbean.
This is a hands-on role for someone who understands equipment, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and wants to play a key role in building a best-in-class rental operation.
You’ll work directly with our Rentals Manager, sales team, and service department to ensure our rental fleet is utilized, maintained, and delivered at a high level.
What You’ll Be Doing
Rental Operations
- Coordinate daily rental activity including scheduling, availability, and logistics
- Manage incoming/outgoing rental equipment (check-in, check-out, condition reporting)
- Ensure all rental agreements are accurate and properly executed
- Track fleet utilization and identify opportunities to improve turnover
Fleet Management
- Assist in overseeing rental fleet (turf equipment, utility vehicles, compact equipment)
- Coordinate with service team on maintenance, repairs, and readiness
- Maintain clean, organized, and “rent-ready” equipment at all times
- Support fleet expansion planning and asset tracking
Logistics & Delivery
- Coordinate delivery and pickup schedules with drivers and customers
- Optimize routes and timing to improve efficiency
- Ensure equipment is delivered on time and in proper working condition
Sales & Customer Support
- Work alongside sales team to support demo and rental opportunities
- Respond to rental inquiries and provide quotes
- Build relationships with golf courses, municipalities, and contractors
- Help convert rental/demo opportunities into equipment sales
Process & Systems
- Help implement and improve rental processes, tracking, and reporting
- Maintain accurate data in systems (rental contracts, asset tracking, billing)
- Identify inefficiencies and drive operational improvements
What We’re Looking For
- 2–5 years experience in equipment rentals, turf industry, or similar operations role
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Mechanically inclined (understanding of equipment is a big plus)
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work cross-functionally
- Comfortable in both office and yard/shop environments
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and solutions-driven
Bonus Points If You Have
- Experience with turf equipment, golf course operations, or landscaping equipment
- Rental fleet or logistics coordination experience
- Familiarity with rental or work order management systems
- CDL or experience coordinating equipment transport
