QA Technician

If you have 1 year of quality experience in a manufacturing environment, a high school diploma or equivalent, working knowledge of Excel, and good communication skills - this might be the job for you.

As a Quality Assurance Technician (QA Tech) you will be responsible for:

• Performing the duties and tasks as outlined in the Quality Control S.O.P. book.
• Using various types of paper testing instruments to verify incoming paper shipments.
• Sample/check incoming poly and incoming KDF (Corrugated Cases) to verify it matches GTG-JAX specifications.
• Collecting, filing and entering production quality and waste tracking information into the computer daily.
• Maintaining files related to production runs for ease of retrieval in the event of a product recall.
• Performing scheduled hourly quality inspections and verifying correct materials are in use on production runs.
• Informing machine operators and team leaders when there is a quality or material usage issue with production.
• Tracing quality issues back to the beginning and when necessary, isolate the product.
• Maintain, follow-up, and update the Quality Incident Report (Q.I.R.) matrix.
• Knowing the product quality standards and using that knowledge when making hourly product inspections.
  
  

This position will work 12-hour shifts and will work 36 hours one week and 48 hours the next week. This is a full-time regular night shift position that comes with a full benefit package.
