Production Maintenance Mechanic

GTG-JAX is currently looking for a Production Maintenance Mechanic. This position requires the ability to troubleshoot and repair industrial equipment and to perform preventive maintenance. This is not a construction or handy man position. We are looking for people to work 12-hour shifts and rotating 36/48 hour per week schedule.

If you have a high school diploma or equivalent, one year of working experience (preferably in manufacturing) and either some formal mechanical training or more than one year of experience, this might be the position for you.

As a Maintenance Mechanic, You Will Be Responsible For

• Completing preventive maintenance on various machines.
• Using troubleshooting skills to locate and repair problems on production machines.
• Testing equipment before putting it back into production.
• Adjust functional parts of various machines to ensure proper operation.
• Reducing downtime by communicating with operators and Team Leaders.
• Make suggestions to improve quality, safety and/or production.
• Rebuilding, replacing, and installing or upgrading machine components.
• Repairing and replacing hydraulic systems.
