Team Lead, Sample Department

Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Team Lead to oversee our textile Sample Department, driving excellence in customer service, team management, and operational efficiency. In this role, you will lead a diverse team of hourly employees, coordinate cross-functionally with Sales and Design, and be hands-on to ensure the delivery of high-quality sample processing.

Duties

• Maintain a safe work environment by following all company safety policies and procedures, using personal protective equipment (PPE), and promoting safe work practices to help ensure the safety of yourself and others.
• Lead and supervise the Sample Department team, providing coaching, mentorship, and performance feedback to foster professional growth.
• Manage daily operations to ensure timely and accurate processing of samples, adhering to quality standards and company policies.
• Coordinate with teams like logistics, quality assurance, and client services to streamline workflows and improve overall efficiency.
• Utilize CRM systems and data analytics tools to monitor department metrics, identify areas for improvement, and implement process enhancements.
• Conduct regular team meetings to communicate updates, set objectives, and motivate staff toward achieving departmental goals.
• Support project management initiatives by planning resources effectively and tracking progress against targets.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Ability to lift and move fabric samples, operate a forklift, and drive a box truck as needed to ensure continuing operations (valid driver's license and clean driving record is required).
• Proven team leadership skills with the ability to oversee multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM systems for data analysis and reporting purposes.
• Ability to work collaboratively across departments in a fast-paced environment through effective cross-functional collaboration.
• Previous textile experience is helpful but not required.

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
