Job Summary
The Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) serves as the face of the organization to patients seeking routine care and insight into important health decisions. This role is responsible for collecting high-quality blood specimens, preparing samples for laboratory testing, and delivering a professional, compassionate patient experience. The PSR I demonstrates leadership behaviors, process excellence, and a strong commitment to confidentiality, accuracy, and patient trust in a clinical setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily activities accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor
- Draw quality blood samples and prepare specimens for laboratory testing in accordance with established procedures
- Perform both forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties with confidence
- Clearly explain procedures to patients while creating an atmosphere of trust and comfort
- Maintain a safe, clean, and professional work environment
- Ensure accuracy, confidentiality, and proper handling of patient information
- Maintain required records and documentation
- Demonstrate organizational commitment and promote a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public
- Perform duties with a strong focus on process excellence, safety, and compliance
Required Experience
- Minimum of 6 months of phlebotomy experience (required)
- Experience performing pediatric and geriatric phlebotomy
- Keyboarding and data entry experience
Nice-to-Have Experience
- One or more years of phlebotomy experience
- Customer service experience in a retail or service environment
Required Skills
- Phlebotomy specimen collection

Preferred Skills
- Pediatric and geriatric phlebotomy techniques

Education & Certification
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred
- California Phlebotomy License required
Work Schedule
- Monday–Friday: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM
- Rotational Saturdays as required
