Job Summary:
The Buyer supports procurement operations by releasing and delivering purchase orders for raw materials and production-related activities. This role ensures accurate part consumption, resolves quality and invoice issues, and coordinates closely with suppliers, engineering, production, and customer service to maintain consistent operational flow.
Key Responsibilities:
- Release and deliver purchase orders for raw materials and production support needs.
- Resolve procurement, quality, invoice, and inventory issues, including required SAP transactions.
- Analyze part consumption behavior and assess part characteristics as needed.
- Interface with customer service, internal and external suppliers, Product Engineering, and Production to ensure high-level support for customer satisfaction.
Required Experience:
- 1–3 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or a related field.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks.
Nice-to-Have Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related discipline.
- Experience with procurement software or ERP systems.
- Familiarity with contract management principles.
- Knowledge of supply chain logistics and inventory management.
Required Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Knowledge of procurement processes
- Strong attention to detail
Preferred Skills:
- ERP or procurement software experience
- Understanding of contract management
- Data accuracy and documentation skills
