Job Summary:
The Business Analyst will support rail operations and refinery-related logistics activities by applying strong analytical skills and deep knowledge of oil and gas transportation workflows. This role requires hands-on expertise with SAP S4, problem resolution across Truck & Rail applications, and a proactive ability to improve business processes while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor SAP interfaces with Rail applications, including troubleshooting, analyzing, improving, and resolving issues in a timely manner.
- Serve as the in-house expert for Truck & Rail application systems and provide knowledge-sharing support for team members.
- Utilize analytics tools and reports to support more informed business decision making.
- Lead or assist with special and cross-functional projects aimed at identifying and implementing business improvement opportunities.
- Own development and optimization of key business processes for Commercial stakeholders, ensuring long-term sustainability.
Required Experience:
- Legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related analytical discipline.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills supporting business-focused decisions.
- Strong collaboration skills, self-driven mindset, and commitment to team results.
- 5 years of experience in oil & gas logistics or transportation, with specific rail expertise.
- 3 years of SAP S4 experience.
Nice-to-Have Experience:
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications.
- Strong interpersonal communication and teamwork abilities.
- Sound business acumen and understanding of value drivers.
- 5 years of SAP S4 and R3 experience, including Vendor Billing Documents, nominations, R3 Shipment Cost Documents, and ticketing.
- 3 years of SAP idoc experience.
