- Pay: $16.50 - 68.13/hr
Job Summary: This role supports Strategic Procurement and Category Management for Direct Materials within a major California electric utility delivering power to millions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support and develop sourcing strategies within the client's Procurement organization for various material categories such as poles, distribution and substation apparatus equipment, wire and cable, transformers, MRO supplies, safety equipment, chemicals and gases, etc.
- Conduct competitive request for proposals (RFP) to address short-term and long-term material requirements and achieve the purchasing performance metrics of timely delivery, right quality, and optimum cost
- Lead negotiations to achieve the best value and commercial terms and conditions
- Identify suppliers and create appropriate engagement plans to ensure competitive RFP participation
- Perform data analysis in Microsoft Excel and develop presentations in Microsoft PowerPoint to make data-driven sourcing recommendations
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree
Required Experience:
- Minimum three or more years of experience in supply chain, procurement, and/or contract management
Required Skills:
- Attention to detail
- Proficient in MS Office suite of apps (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
