Job SummaryThe Programmer will support the Secretary of State development team, contributing to application development, troubleshooting, testing, and documentation efforts. Work will be performed using tools such as Oracle Forms, Toad, and Subversion, with responsibilities spanning new development, enhancement of existing applications, and participation in structured programming review sessions. The role requires strong analytical and debugging skills, as well as adherence to development standards, guidelines, and project schedules.Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain applications using Oracle Forms, PL/SQL, SQL, and Java.
Collaborate with project teams to meet scheduled goals and complete assigned development tasks.
Troubleshoot, debug, and enhance existing application functionality.
Participate in group programming and code review sessions.
Contribute to business process review sessions with stakeholders and testers.
Produce and maintain technical documentation according to team standards.
Follow structured programming principles and established development techniques.
Engage in team discussions to support planning, progress updates, and development goals.

Required Experience

5 years of Oracle Forms development with Oracle Database (NOT APEX).
5 years of PL/SQL development experience.
5 years of Java development experience.
Demonstrated experience working with tools such as Toad, Oracle Forms, and Subversion.
Strong background in application testing and debugging.

Nice-to-Have Experience

Experience participating in formal review sessions.
Prior exposure to structured programming methodologies.
Experience creating or editing technical documentation.
