Job SummaryThe Electric Risk Management (ERM) team plays a critical role in evaluating, reporting, and supporting investment planning for some of the organization's most consequential electric system risks. This team executes a data-driven risk decision framework focused on continuous improvement and regulatory alignment.
This role partners closely with asset family owners, compliance teams, and subject matter experts (SMEs) to evaluate and implement a comprehensive risk management framework. The Risk Analyst supports horizon scanning for emerging risks, facilitates improvements to key risk indicators (KRIs), and provides quantitative analysis to support risk-based decision-making.
ERM supports risk management across areas including Wildfire (WLDFR), Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS), Enhanced Powerline Safety Settings (EPSS), Transmission & Distribution assets, substations, and public electrical safety risks.
Key Responsibilities- Build strong working relationships with asset strategy, engineering, wildfire, regulatory, and compliance teams
- Partner with asset family owners and compliance teams to evaluate new and emerging risks
- Facilitate discussions with SMEs and Risk Teams to enhance or develop Key Risk Indicators (KRIs)
- Support data collection and analysis for risk initiatives
- Develop and support risk presentations for leadership audiences (RCC, SLT Risk Deep Dives, SNO materials)
- Assist with GRC and regulatory data requests and Business Plan Deliverables (BPD)
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 10 years of experience in risk management, utility operations, or a related field
- Experience within utility operations, asset management, or enterprise risk
- Program or project management experience
- Strong technical and quantitative analysis skills
- 10 years of experience in electric operations, asset management, or asset strategy
- Ability to synthesize complex technical issues into clear, actionable insights
- Proven ability to work cross-functionally and build strong stakeholder relationships
- Experience influencing leaders at multiple organizational levels
- Skilled at facilitating decision-making and engaging SMEs in problem-solving
- Client laptop will be provided. In the event of major delays, the vendor may assist in providing a device to allow the worker to begin on schedule.
