Primary Job Title: Database Administrator

Location: Salt Lake City, UT

Contract Details:

• Position Type: Contract
• Pay Rate: $36.00–$42.34 / Hour (USD)

Job Summary: Provide Primary DBA (Database Administration) responsibilities including support of the various application development teams through advising on design, implementing solutions and optimizing databases for the applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work as a MS SQL Server (Microsoft's Database offering) expert for the firm
• Evaluate and adopt features in new releases of the MS SQL Server product
• Work closely with Engineers across all Business Units to design, develop and optimize databases for diverse application workloads
• Provide support for Database (RDBMS's) standardization programs from design, development and implementation
• Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain DBMS environment
• Design and implement database security controls in order to safeguard firm's data
• Provide production support, capacity planning and work on building the database infrastructure globally
• Manage various OS and database specific upgrades on Windows/Linux environment
• Build self-service and automation tools using scripts/programs (ex. powershell) in order to reduce manual processing in providing low-touch offerings
• Work closely with Microsoft Engineering and Product support teams to provide feedback as well as new feature requirements as per the firm's development needs

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or another Engineering field required

• 5 years of experience in a related role
