Job Summary: The Payroll Analyst is responsible for supporting the accurate and timely processing of payroll while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. This role partners closely with HR, Finance, Accounting, and Payroll leadership to resolve payroll issues, maintain data integrity, and support continuous improvement of payroll processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support end-to-end payroll processing of biweekly U.S. payroll, including multi-state, exempt and non-exempt populations with minimal errors and maximum efficiencies
- Review payroll inputs for accuracy, including new hires, terminations, pay changes, timecards, and special earnings
- Process off-cycle payrolls, corrections and retroactive pay calculations
- Respond to employee payroll inquiries in a timely and professional manner
- Maintain data integrity of U.S. payroll applications (ADP Portal, ADP Vantage, Equifax Unemployment) daily
- Ensure the integrity and accuracy of payroll data by conducting reconciliations and detailed audits
- Ensure payroll activities comply with federal, state, and local wage and hour laws
- Research and propose system enhancements and payroll process improvements
- Support audits, reconciliations, and internal controls related to payroll
- Process garnishments, levies, and other involuntary deductions
- Maintain accurate payroll records and documentation
- Assist with payroll tax reconciliations and coordination with ADP Tax
- Support audits related to payroll, benefits, and compensation
- Prepare ad hoc reports and data analysis for internal stakeholders
- Assist with system testing for payroll updates, enhancements, and regulatory changes
- Identify data issues and work with HRIT or IT partners to resolve them
- Document payroll procedures and process updates as needed
- Support payroll projects, system implementations, and process enhancements to improve payroll processes, controls, and employee experience
- Participate in cross-functional initiatives impacting payroll operations
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or FPC (Fundamental Payroll Certification) preferred
Required Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of payroll experience required
- Experience with ADP Payroll Software from a payroll and system perspective required
- Experience in a shared service environment and solid understanding of HR cycles required
- Experience with multi-state reporting required
Nice-to-Have Experience:
- Understanding of expatriate taxation rules and international payroll tax guidelines strongly preferred

- Self-motivated; able to work both independently to complete tasks and respond to department requests and with others to utilize their resources and knowledge to identify quality solutions
- Strong organization, planning, and project management skills; ability to prioritize tasks for self and team to meet requirements and deadlines
- Ability to work in a time-sensitive, high-volume environment
- Ability to identify key contacts for follow-up; excellent ability to communicate project and status updates to team and cross-functionally to ensure understanding
- Good strategic and problem-solving skills to effectively influence decision-making in key negotiations
Work Environment / Physical Requirements:
- 100% performed in climate-controlled internal office environment working under normal office conditions
- Less than 10% travel may be required in support of the position's responsibilities
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, use hands and fingers to feel and handle, reach with arms and hands, talk and hear
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently is required to stoop, kneel and crouch, lift weight or exert a force up to a maximum of 25 pounds
