Job Summary
This is a non-customer facing position within a leading financial institution's Foreclosure Team. The Foreclosure Team specializes in managing foreclosure processes specific to loans secured by real estate and provides critical support to Foreclosure Attorneys in 17 states. The role involves managing all foreclosure-related processes, managing coding accounts in the system of record, validating documents prepared by attorneys, reviewing payment histories, and serving as a liaison between foreclosure attorneys and other Mortgage Default Management teams (Helps, Bankruptcy). The Senior Supervisor, Collections & Recovery manages one or more business units or sections of the Collection or Recovery Department. Approximately 50% of the day is spent in meetings, with interactions focused on internal and external legal attorney firms. The contractor will have access to customer data.

Key Responsibilities
People Management Leadership
- Provide people management leadership by hiring the best talent, setting goals, developing staff, managing employee performance and compensation decisions, promoting teamwork and handling any/all disciplinary actions as required
Day-to-Day Operations
- Manage day-to-day activities of operations, production or support units, ensuring that processes are conducted efficiently and timely and according to established policies and procedures
- Supervise lead staff, assigning, prioritizing and monitoring work; contribute to development of department policies and procedures and assist staff with most complex aspects of work as necessary
- Act as a leader within department and convey corporate vision to managed employees
Reporting and Compliance
- Prepare regular in-depth reports and information summarizing various aspects of unit activities; interpret important aspects of reports for management
- Participate in the development of overall department policies and procedures in coordination with department management and other unit managers; implement policies and procedures within unit
- Coordinate unit compliance with overall division guidelines as well as regulatory agencies
Systems and Quality Assurance
- Contribute to the management of department data processing, telephone and other systems; monitor performance of systems and communicate feedback to department management and directly to vendors as appropriate
- Audit staff work to ensure that day-to-day policies and procedures are followed and productivity levels are maintained; coordinate with internal and external auditors, providing information and incorporating recommended changes as needed
