About the Opportunity
This is a hands-on infrastructure role supporting an enterprise Windows environment. You'll be responsible for maintaining servers, virtualization platforms, Azure resources, Active Directory, backups, and networking infrastructure while mentoring a junior Infrastructure Specialist and helping improve documentation and operational processes.
This position was created to provide experienced infrastructure support while transferring knowledge to an internal team member.
This is not a help desk-focused role.
Schedule
- Monday–Friday
- 40 hours per week
- 4 days onsite
- 1 remote day (typically focused on documentation)
Responsibilities
- Administer Windows Server environments
- Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy
- Support Microsoft Azure
- Maintain VMware and/or Hyper-V
- Manage backups and disaster recovery
- Support switches, routers, firewalls, and VPNs
- Perform monthly server patching and maintenance
- Create technical documentation and SOPs
- Mentor a junior Infrastructure Specialist
Qualifications
- 8 years of Windows Server administration
- 3 years of Microsoft Azure experience
- Enterprise Active Directory administration
- VMware or Hyper-V administration
- Networking experience (switches, firewalls, VPNs)
- Experience creating technical documentation
- Ability to work independently
Manufacturing or industrial experience is a plus.
Salary : $45 - $50
