About the Opportunity
Our client is seeking a motivated Assistant Sales Manager Trainee to support AT&T’s retail and community sales operations across the Austin area. This role is designed for individuals who want to build their leadership skills, grow in the telecommunications industry, and move toward managing teams and overseeing territory operations.
You’ll start by learning front line customer engagement and sales, then progress into coaching, team development, and daily management responsibilities.
What You’ll Do (Leadership Sales Training)
- Represent AT&T products and solutions inside partnered retail locations
- Engage with customers, provide product education, and recommend wireless solutions
- Build strong relationships with customers, store teams, and local partner managers
- Support daily retail operations including merchandising, customer flow, and reporting
- Assist with training, shadowing, and development of new team members
- Learn key management responsibilities including scheduling, performance metrics, and territory strategy
- Contribute to store-level goals, event days, and community outreach initiatives
- Maintain professional communication with leadership and team members
- Track lead generation, sales activity, and customer outcomes
