Job Title: Senior Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial operations, contributing to the successful execution of commercial roofing projects, and offering a unique opportunity to advance your career in the construction industry.
Responsibilities- Assist with month-end close, daily operations, special projects, and assignments.
- Maintain and reconcile daily bank accounts and manage daily Positive Pay.
- Handle bank deposits and reconcile monthly credit card statements to the General Ledger.
- Perform General Ledger reconciliations and maintenance, and prepare and input journal entries.
- Support financial reporting and detailed analysis, and participate in annual financial audits.
- Manage Fixed Asset & Lease records, including amortization and depreciation schedules.
- Perform inventory reconciliations and provide payroll backup processing and reporting.
- Audit payroll-related liabilities and expenses, and complete various payroll reconciliations.
- Reconcile health insurance accounts and assist with Sales Tax calculations and filings.
- Support business license management maintenance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting preferred.
- 5-7 years of experience in general accounting or similar roles.
- Strong problem-solving and research skills, with the ability to resolve discrepancies and variances effectively.
- Advanced Excel skills (e.g., VLOOKUP, SUMIF, SUMIFS, IF-THEN statements).
- Proficient in accounting software and MS Office suite.
- Strong organizational skills; ability to multitask and prioritize.
- Understanding of the financial cycle and month-end close process.
- Team player with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Flexible and willing to take on additional tasks and projects.
- Full-time position; 8/9am-5pm work schedule.
