WHAT YOU'LL DO
Your role has two equally important parts:
Household Management (60%)
- Keep the home clean, organized, and running smoothly
- Prepare simple meals and manage groceries
- Handle errands and daily household tasks
- Coordinate with therapists and service providers
- Care for our beloved pets: a dog, pigeon, parakeets, and a tortoise
Caregiver Support (40%)
- Support our son's learning, therapy schedule, and daily routines with patience and calm
- Engage with him through his interests: animals, outdoor activities, adventures
- Take him on outings — playgrounds, swimming, boating, zoo and farm visits
- Be a trusted, stable presence he can depend on
- Work alongside a co-caregiver as part of a team
YOU'RE A GREAT FIT IF YOU HAVE:
- Experience: 1 years working with children or individuals with autism/special needs
- Qualities: Patient, calm under pressure, genuinely passionate about making a difference
- Skills: Organized, dependable, and take pride in a well-managed home
- Physical ability: Able to lift up to 50 lbs and keep up with an active child
- Commitment: Ready to be consistent — this child needs someone reliable
- Transportation: Own vehicle and able to commute to Clifton Park, NY reliably
- Education: High school diploma or GED
POSITION DETAILS
Location: Clifton Park, NY 12065
Work Type: In-person (full-time or part-time available)
Schedule Options:
- Part-time: 15–20 hours/week
- Full-time: 30–50 hours/week
- Flexible weekday and weekend shifts available
Pay: $20–$21.00/hour (based on experience)
