Duties:
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities for infant and/or toddler age children.
- Create a nurturing and stimulating environment that promotes learning and development.
- Provide a variety of experiences and materials that encourage curiosity, exploration, and problem-solving.
- Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and staff members.
- Maintain a safe and clean classroom environment.
- Observe and assess children's progress, documenting their achievements and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to plan and coordinate special events or programs.
Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working with young children.
- CDA or Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field. Also, knowledge of early childhood education principles, theories, and practices.
- Familiarity with child development milestones and appropriate teaching strategies.
- Ability to create engaging lesson plans that promote literacy, physical education, and social-emotional development.
- Experience working with students with special needs or diverse backgrounds is a plus.
- Strong classroom management skills to ensure a positive learning environment.
Skills:
- Classroom management: Ability to maintain order and discipline in the classroom while creating an inclusive and supportive atmosphere.
- Literacy education: Knowledge of early literacy skills and strategies to promote language development in young children.
- Experience working with students: Ability to connect with children on an individual level, understand their unique needs, and provide appropriate support.
- Early childhood education: Understanding of child development theories and practices in the context of early childhood education settings.
- Physical education: Ability to incorporate physical activities into daily routines to promote gross motor skills development.
- Educate: Passion for teaching young children and fostering their love for learning.
- Child welfare: Commitment to ensuring the safety, well-being, and overall welfare of each child in the classroom.
- Childcare: Understanding of the responsibilities associated with providing care for young children in a group setting.
- Childhood development: Knowledge of developmental milestones and age-appropriate activities for preschool-aged children.
- Special education: Familiarity with strategies and accommodations for supporting children with special needs.
