- Key Responsibilities
- Perform inspections on mechanical and electrical assemblies to ensure compliance with internal and customer specifications.
- Ensure all quality documentation is complete, accurate, and properly maintained.
- Coordinate with the Quality Control team to ensure progress and meet production and shipping timelines.
- Identify and escalate quality issues that may impact delivery or product performance.
- Maintain visibility of product status throughout the QC and production process.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Production, and other departments to resolve issues and improve processes.
- Participate in corrective actions for non-conformances and recurring defects.
- Support training efforts and ensure staff are informed of current quality standards and procedures.
- Participate in audits, process reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Assist in updating SOPs, training materials, and inspection protocols as needed.
- 10% Part and component inspection
- 80% Assembly and final product inspection
- 10% Process Improvements, CA/PA, Data process/analysis/reporting, and cross-functional collaboration
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in quality control or inspection in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience in power generation, diesel systems, or enclosure manufacturing preferred.
- Weld knowledge is preferred, especially weld inspection
- Proficiency in blueprint reading, mechanical drawings, and customer-supplied manuals.
- The ability to read and interpret measurements using rulers, calipers, and other precision tools. Skills in MS Excel and Word; experience with ERP systems (e.g., Epicor) and SharePoint is a plus.
- Demonstrated experience with Pareto charts, defect tracking, and process improvement initiatives is a plus.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to write clear and effective corrective actions and follow through on resolution.
