Full-Time on-site entry level position
1st shift M-F 8 hour shift
$16 to $18/hour, based on experience

The Assembler will perform any combination of the following tasks to assemble electronic components, subassemblies, products, or systems: read work orders, follow production drawings and sample assemblies, and receive verbal instructions regarding duties to be performed.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Accountable for quality, quantity, and inspection of work to be performed
  • Perform basic soldering of SMT and Through Hole Components
  • Perform visual inspections of Surface Mount Assemblies
  • Interpret IPC-A-610 standards for acceptability and customer specifications
  • Work in a team environment to achieve Quality and Throughput
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Comply with all safety policies, practices, and procedures
  • Participate in team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals
  • Perform other duties as assigned by either the Quality/Production Manager or the Production Lead

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES

Education
Required: High School diploma or GED Diploma
Preferred: Experience in a manufacturing facility
Experience

Preferred: 2 years’ of Electronics Assembly Experience

Special Knowledge/Skills
Required:
Be familiar with and able to use hand tools, electric screwdrivers, pliers, cutters, etc.
Attention to detail
Strong work ethic
Good hand/eye coordination
Good working knowledge of electronics
Able to work with speed and accuracy
Able to communicate effectively and work in a team environment
Preferred:
Experience with hand soldering of electrical components
Experience inspecting electronic circuit board assemblies

Required:
  • Must have visual acuity to read assembly prints and instructions
  • Standing, walking, and sitting for a majority of the time
  • Ability to follow verbal and written work instructions
  • Use of hands and arms to touch, lift, and reach, etc.
  • Talking and hearing for a majority of the time
  • Lifting and/or exerting up to 20 lbs. of weight/force frequently and up to 50 lbs. of weight /force occasionally
  • Cognitive requirements include ability to learn quickly, handle multiple complex tasks simultaneously, demonstrate strong attention to detail, and be highly productive without need for much supervision
  • Must be capable of remembering, imagining, logical, numerical, and verbal reasoning, perceiving, problem solving, and providing output that users can act upon
