Job Summary
The Staff Accountant supports the financial operations of a healthcare organization by ensuring accurate and timely accounting processes in compliance with regulatory and organizational standards. Responsibilities include performing account reconciliations, supporting month-end close, preparing journal entries (including prepaids and utilities), analyzing financial statements, and completing cash reconciliations. This role requires strong attention to detail, an understanding of healthcare financial workflows, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
Mandatory Qualifications
- 3 years of accounting experience, including general ledger responsibilities
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Strong analytical and data analysis skills
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail in a regulated environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior accounting experience in a healthcare setting
- Experience with healthcare financial systems such as Infor, Lawson, or similar ERP platforms
- Familiarity with healthcare compliance and reporting requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; CPA or pursuing CPA preferred.
Pay: Up to $40.00 per hour
