Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of property operations, including leasing, rent collection, and maintenance coordination.
- Ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations, Section 8 programs, LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit), and other relevant housing laws.
- Oversee lease agreements, contracts, and legal documentation using Yardi or OneSite property management software.
- Handle tenant relations with professionalism, resolving conflicts effectively through negotiation and conflict management skills.
- Coordinate property maintenance and facilities management to uphold safety standards and enhance resident comfort.
- Conduct regular property inspections, oversee repairs, and manage vendor relationships to ensure high-quality service delivery.
- Maintain accurate data entry, filing systems, and administrative records using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) and office experience best practices.
- Promote leasing opportunities through upselling amenities or available units while providing excellent customer service via phone etiquette and in-person interactions.
- Support sales initiatives by engaging prospective tenants and upselling available units or community features to maximize occupancy rates.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of LIHTC programs, Section 8 housing policies, Fair Housing regulations, and landlord-tenant law.
- Proficiency with property management software such as Yardi or OneSite for leasing, data entry, and reporting tasks.
- Legal administrative experience related to lease agreements, contracts, and compliance documentation.
- Excellent customer service skills with professional phone etiquette and relationship management capabilities.
- Demonstrated ability in conflict management, negotiation, and handling sensitive tenant issues effectively.
- Experience in property leasing, facilities management, property maintenance coordination, and real estate administrative tasks.
- Familiarity with office procedures including filing systems, data entry accuracy, and administrative support functions.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
