Job Opportunity: Litigation Paralegal – In-Person Position
Global Legal Law Firm is a rapidly growing law firm that focuses on complex litigation, mostly in the electronic payments industry. We represent clients nationwide, in both state and federal court. Your typical day will require flexibility, solid time management, and detailed case management of your assigned cases.
Responsibilities include:
- Detailed case management for assigned cases, including maintenance of filing deadlines, hearing dates, and post-judgment matters.
- Preparation, review and drafting of all pleadings/forms.
- Correspondence and discovery, as needed, including interrogatories, requests for admissions, and document production.
- General review of and research.
- Working directly with clients to obtain case information and act as an intermediary between clients and attorneys.
- Working with local counsel in other states to facilitate the filing of pleadings in cases filed outside of California. Preparing pleadings for out-of-state jurisdictions based on templates as provided by local counsel.
- Time entry and billing.
- Assisting with general paralegal tasks assigned as needed.
- Prepare shell complaints, answers, discovery, motions, demurrers, memorandum of points and authorities, notice to consumers, exhibits, settlement agreements
- Research defendant entities (the proper names for the complaint, SOS info re registered agents, service addresses)
- Research local rules/procedures
- Prepare and serve subpoenas
- Execute Filing and Service of Pleadings/Motions
- Communicate, as appropriate, with clients, opposing counsel, local counsel, and related personnel to relay information and document receipt of communications and ensure all personnel are apprised of information in a timely manner
- Track and maintain calendar and record of communications, deadlines, tasks

Required Qualifications:
- California paralegal civil litigation experience.
- Paralegal Certificate
- Excellent grammar, verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to interact with integrity and a high level of professionalism with all levels of team members and management
- Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
- Must pay attention to detail
- Competency with Microsoft Word, Dropbox, Microsoft Office, Adobe DC
Preferred Qualifications
- Extensive knowledge of court rules, (State and Federal) including ECF filing procedures for civil litigation
- Deadlines.com, Timekeeping programs, Trello, Clio
- Florida, New York, and Texas civil litigation experience would be a bonus
Job Type: Full-time; Hourly; In-Person.
Hourly Pay: Commensurate with Experience, Ranging from $30-$45/hourly.
