Global Language Connections provides interpreting and translation services to hospitals, clinics, and legal and education sectors. We are currently seeking professional interpreters fluent in Cambodian / Central Khmer to work as independent contractors.
This position offers a flexible schedule, allowing you to work when you are available.

Core Responsibilities
- Provide interpreting services as an independent contractor
- Comply with the Interpreter Code of Ethics
- Perform all duties in a professional and ethical manner
- Submit completed client worksheets within 24 hours of each appointment
Qualifications
- Must demonstrate fluency in English and the target language (Cambodian / Central Khmer)
- Strong time-management skills
- Professional demeanor and appearance
- Medical or legal interpreter training preferred
- Examples include: an interpreting degree, a 40-hour CoreCHI Community Interpreter training, or continuing education
- Prior interpreting experience preferred
- Completed immunization records
- Proof of U.S. citizenship or valid work authorization
- Reliable transportation
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- High School Diploma or GED required; some college preferred
- Must be able to pass background checks
