* Supervise and evaluate field technicians, drivers, and support staff when operating in the shop.
* Ensure day-to-day operations run smoothly and efficiently.
* Assist in developing and implementing goals, objectives, and policies for the repair, refurb, and rental divisions.
* Oversee the scheduling and completion of vehicle maintenance and repair.
* Monitor and control repair facility activities.
* Perform mechanical duties and inspections as needed.
* Develop and implement safety, preventive maintenance, and accident prevention programs.
* Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, such as DOT and OSHA.
* Coordinate and schedule trips, drivers, and routes for timely delivery.
* Troubleshoot and resolve issues with drivers or trucks.
* Prepare reports on fleet activities, maintenance, and costs.
* Standardize, draft, and implement shop control measures to ensure the repeatable, efficient processes as they relate to inter-shop activities.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential for interacting with customers and field staff.
* Must be comfortable using computers, phones, and other office equipment.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks, maintain detailed records, and stay organized is crucial for coordinating operations effectively.
* Must be able to think critically and solve problems quickly, especially under pressure.
* This role requires the ability to remain calm and efficient in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong leadership and team management skills.
* Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
* Proficiency in fleet management software and tracking systems.
