Responsibilities
- Provide real-time Berber / Tamazight ↔ English telephonic interpretation for USCIS interviews, hearings, and official proceedings.
- Deliver interpretation with accuracy, neutrality, and professionalism.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and comply with USCIS/DHS interpreter standards.
- Handle both scheduled and urgent/surge assignments.
- Participate in training, compliance refreshers, and quality assurance audits.
- Native or near-native fluency in Berber / Tamazight and English.
- 2 years of professional interpreting experience (immigration, community, legal, healthcare, or government preferred).
- Knowledge of interpreter ethics, confidentiality, and cultural awareness.
- Excellent telephone communication skills; ability to remain accurate under pressure.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or permanent resident eligible for Tier 3/Tier 5 clearance.
