DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Welcomes each party to the dining room and explains the many food and beverage amenities available to the guests.
• Serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to guests in the dining room as may be required to ensure maximum levels of guest service.
• Handles decision-making, problem solving, complaint resolution, and customer service matters in accordance with skill levels.
• Ensures appearance of assigned station or service areas are maintained in a clean and functional manner.
• Follows all dining room operating procedures, safety and sanitation regulations and departmental policies and procedures.
• Notifies appropriate staff members when assistance is needed.
• Demonstrates an upbeat and outgoing demeanor while on duty.
• Ensures compliance with all applicable regulations, laws, internal policies/procedures, and internal control protocols.
• Promotes outstanding customer relations.
• Performs other related duties as may be assigned by reporting senior

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Technical school or formal apprenticeship may be required.
• Requires knowledge and skills needed to safely serve beverages in accordance with internal policies and external regulations and/or laws.
• Requires the knowledge, skills, and abilities to work with personal computers, point of sale systems, credit card/players club card systems, cash, etc.
• Must be knowledgeable in food and beverage sanitation, guest service, cash control policies, practices, and protocols.
• Must be able to work effectively with peers, staff members, and regulatory agency personnel.
• Strong written and oral communication skills required.
• Ability to solve problems and deal with a variety of situations where only limited standardization exists.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
