Responsibilities
- Produce floor plans, layouts and drawings for GES trade shows and events using AutoCAD Release 2018 software.
- Ensures the show/event layout is properly designed and drawn according to specifications outlined by Client Services Manager and Client.
- Ensures that all Fire Department codes and regulations are followed on each floor plan.
- Ensure all floor plans are not only submitted to Fire Department jurisdictions in a timely manner, but also ensure they are approved before show opening.
- Ensure all facilities are kept current and accurate in assigned cities/regions.
- Maintains drawings of all convention and meeting room facilities assigned.
- Provide timely technical assistance and solutions to the team.
- Participate in project meetings and conference calls as required.
- Maintain all revisions of project drawings, posting the updated drawing to the required internal drive when completed.
- Perform other duties as assigned and deemed necessary of the position
Qualifications
- Minimum two years of experience in drafting, using AutoCAD software version 2018 or higher.
- Convention and Trade Show experience preferred, but not required; industry specific training will be provided.
- Proficient computer skills including Excel and Word.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Candidate must possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
Work Environment
- May require overtime during busy periods
- Work performed in an office setting - sitting at a computer
- 90% Work may involve repetitive motion (i.e. constant keying, using fingers or grasping of objects).
- May be required to lift and maneuver 20 lb rolls of paper for the plotters
