What are the responsibilities and job description for the Account Manger position at Global Experience Specialists, Inc.?
The Account Manager works in partnership with Inside Sales team and other team members in meeting objectives and exceeding client expectations by delivering best-in-class service, providing proactive solutions, quality products and services on-time and on-budget. Maintain positive client relationships and assist in growing client business as appropriate.
The ideal candidate will be a great communicator, have positive attitude, organized, data- and results-driven with proven success in growing the company's revenue and profitability.
Responsibilities:
- Manage details relative to client's convention program and associated projects; including preparation of contracts, revenue and cost estimating.
- Prepare standard package of marketing materials for presentations, data requests and other special projects as appropriate to retain and grow business.
- Coordinate with all internal departments in all phases of show planning.
- Schedule pre-show meetings and prepare required materials for the local operations teams.
- Coordinate the production process including overseeing the set-up and tear down.
- Ensure exhibit productions are within the established budget.
- Generate client invoices and following up until collected.
- Attend update meetings and provide information needed for a successful project.
- Issue work orders needed for the show to Operations and make sure they are completed.
- Basic understanding of pricing models and estimation.
- Performs other duties as assigned and deemed necessary of the position
Qualifications:
- College degree preferred
- (2) years' experience in the tradeshow, convention, hospitality industry or similar experience preferred
- Ability to communicate and work collaboratively
- Capable of running new/modified processes
- Proficient in multisystem management
- Ability to foster customer relationships
- Potential Travel 25-50%
- General accounting and finance knowledge
- Must be extremely detail oriented and able to multi-task
- Understands and works in lateral work streams
Work Environment:
- Requires ability to adapt to multiple settings and shifting responsibilities
- Must be able to work under pressure
- Opportunity to work nights, weekends and at showsite
- Position may require long hours during several months of the year. Typically performs work on the event floor, in noisy and crowded areas
- Frequently encounters uncomfortable temperatures, dust and/or other conditions
- Requires working both alone and with others in a team atmosphere
- Requires working with union and non-union employees
