Position Overview:
Our team is currently looking for a Wiring & Systems Applications Engineer for a client in the Motorsports Industry.
Responsibilities & Essential Duties:
- This position is to work with all Power unit, dyno and Vehicle wiring applications.
- Assist with, and or design all required vehicle harnesses/looms for various applications for on vehicle and associated components and test equipment and apply to relevant projects.
- Assist departments with wiring and test system needs for power units and vehicle operations.
- Additionally, taking into account high voltage electrical safety requirements, provide turn key solutions for the various Hybrid and BEV wiring and connection systems.
- These encompass 12 V to 48V to 1000V range for wiring and testing applications.
Requirements:
- Vehicle Harness Design
- Design and layout complete vehicle harnesses for hybrids and BEVs.
- Incorporate system I/O requirements for components such as control units, lighting, and power distribution.
- Build prototype harnesses for various vehicle sections.
- Test Equipment Harnesses
- Design and build connectivity harnesses for dynamometers and other test systems.
- Support HV and LV testing for e-machines and ESS.
- Debug and repair loom issues; provide solutions for equipment integration.
- Applications & Installation
- Install and maintain wiring systems from 14V up to 1000V and high-current applications.
- Source appropriate components and protective materials.
- Support systems including inverters, DC-DC converters, loggers, displays, and HV safety components.
- Collaborate with Dyno and trackside engineers for test equipment integration.
Must haves:
- Proficient in motor racing loom design, vehicle layout, and installation—including high-voltage systems (60V and above).
- Skilled in loom construction, layout, and repair for motorsport applications.
- Hands-on experience with military-specification wiring procedures and standards.
- Competent in using specialized harness production tools and test equipment.
- Strong understanding of automotive components, including ignition systems and ECUs, with detailed knowledge of vehicle wiring architecture.
- Proven ability to prioritize and manage projects from concept through completion.
- Demonstrated leadership and team management capabilities.
- PC proficient, with familiarity in relevant software and documentation tools.
- Experienced in using various wiring tools, meters, and testers.
- Able to read and interpret electrical diagrams and technical drawings accurately.

- Relocation offered.
- One-year contract w/possible extension/direct hire

Salary : $90,000 - $120,000
