This highly respected and fast-growing company is seeking an experienced, results-driven, and motivated Commercial Roofing Estimator.
Description
The Estimator will be responsible for creating detailed proposals, estimates, and bids. This will be a result from face-to-face interaction with the customer, roof inspection, measurement, and determining labor requirements.
Duties
- Travel to customer locations and inspect roofs/property. .
- Achieve or exceed sales and performance goals.
- Create, build, and maintain customer relationships.
- Review incoming contracts and applicable scopes of work.
- Conduct pre-bid walks, including core cuts and roof evaluations.
- Review and evaluate subcontractors’ bid proposals.
- Estimating of assigned projects and responsible for budgets.
- Conduct labor and project projections.
- Monitor physical progress and financial performance of projects.
- Formulate change order estimates.
- Understanding of, and commitment to, customer service and core values of our company.
Required skills
- Minimum of 5 years of experience and demonstrated success.
- Experience with all flat roofing systems to include but not limited to; PVC, BUR, Metal, EPDM and Coatings.
- Experience with flat roof repairs, re-roofs and coatings.
- Ability to read/interpret architectural drawings and perform project takeoffs.
- Computer skills (proficient in MS Word and Excel).
- Strong knowledge of construction, production metrics of field teams and construction safety laws and regulatory requirements.
- Confident and personable with sharp listening skills and a strong desire to create and sell business.
- Organizational and prioritization skills, analytical and adept at problem-solving.
- Self-starter able to work under time constraints and a strong sense of personal accountability.
- Team player and excellent written and verbal skills.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
