We are seeking a highly motivated system test engineer with strong experience in battery management systems (BMS), system validation, and automotive testing. The ideal candidate will be responsible for validating BMS functionality, developing test cases, executing system-level tests, and ensuring compliance with automotive standards and customer requirements.
The candidate should have hands-on experience with battery systems, CAN communication, HIL testing, and automotive validation processes.
Required Skills
- Strong experience in Battery Management Systems (BMS)
- Experience in system testing and validation for automotive ECUs
- Hands-on experience with CAN tools such as CANalyzer, CANoe, or Vehicle Spy
- Knowledge of lithium-ion battery systems and battery safety concepts
- Experience with HIL (Hardware-in-the-Loop) testing
- Understanding of automotive communication protocols such as CAN, LIN, and Ethernet
- Experience creating and executing test plans, test cases, and validation reports
- Knowledge of automotive standards such as ISO 26262 and ASPICE
- Familiarity with requirements management tools such as DOORS or Polarion
- Strong debugging and root cause analysis skills
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute system test plans and test cases for BMS functionalities
- Perform validation and verification testing for battery management systems
- Analyze system requirements and convert them into test scenarios
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and endurance testing
- Work with HIL setups and vehicle-level testing environments
- Monitor CAN communication and analyze system behavior
- Identify defects, perform root cause analysis, and support issue resolution
- Collaborate with software, hardware, and calibration teams
- Prepare detailed test reports and documentation
- Support vehicle integration and production validation activities
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in EV/HEV battery systems
- Knowledge of battery charging and thermal management systems
- Experience with automation scripting using Python, CAPL, or MATLAB
- Familiarity with Vector tools and automotive diagnostics
- Understanding of Functional Safety concepts
