Job Description:
We are seeking a SWAT Engineer to support rapid response and resolution of critical vehicle and production issues. This role requires strong diagnostic skills, hands-on troubleshooting, and the ability to lead root cause analysis efforts in a fast-paced automotive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostics and troubleshooting on vehicle systems and production issues
- Lead SWAT (rapid response) activities for critical field and plant issues
- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) using 8D, 5 Whys, and Fishbone methods
- Analyze data from diagnostic tools, CAN logs, and test systems
- Collaborate with design, quality, manufacturing, and supplier teams
- Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
- Document findings, reports, and resolution plans
- Provide on-site support for issue validation and closure
Required Skills:
- Strong experience in automotive diagnostics and troubleshooting
- Hands-on experience with CAN communication, vehicle systems, and data analysis
- Expertise in RCA methodologies (8D, 5 Whys, Fishbone)
- Experience working in plant/production support or field issue resolution
- Strong problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with ECUs, diagnostics tools, and vehicle testing systems
- Background in manufacturing or automotive OEM environment
- Familiarity with quality processes and CAPA implementation
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Automotive, or related field
