What are the responsibilities and job description for the CAE Engineer – Electromagnetics / EMI-EMC Simulation position at Global Connect Technologies?
Responsibilities
- Develop simulation models for vehicle electrical and electronic components including ECUs, motors, switches, and actuators.
- Perform EMI/EMC compliance simulations and electromagnetic analysis.
- Utilize Ansys EMC Plus, HFSS, and CST for electromagnetic modelling and simulation.
- Analyze operating frequencies, standards compliance, and signal integrity.
- Work with CISPR, FCC, ISO, and related compliance standards.
- Select appropriate solvers such as FEM, FDTD, MoM, and hybrid methods based on project requirements.
- Develop automation scripts using Python and tool-specific APIs.
- Create reduced-order and surrogate models for system-level integration.
- Support digital twin and system-level electromagnetic integration activities.
- Document modelling assumptions, solver strategies, and validation results.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Strong experience in EMI/EMC simulation and electromagnetic analysis.
- Hands-on expertise with HFSS, CST, and Ansys EMC Plus.
- Knowledge of automotive EMC standards and compliance testing.
- Experience with automation scripting using Python.
- Strong analytical and technical documentation skills.
