We are seeking an experienced Controls Engineer with strong Siemens TIA Portal experience to support the development, programming, integration, commissioning, and troubleshooting of automated manufacturing equipment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Siemens PLCs, HMIs, drives, industrial networks, and machine controls.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, modify, and troubleshoot Siemens PLC programs using TIA Portal.
- Program and configure Siemens S7-1200/S7-1500 PLCs.
- Develop and troubleshoot HMI applications and operator interfaces.
- Configure and troubleshoot Siemens VFDs/servo drives and motion-control systems.
- Perform machine controls integration, startup, commissioning, and onsite troubleshooting.
- Diagnose PLC, I/O, sensors, actuators, drives, and communication issues.
- Work with electrical schematics and control panel documentation.
- Integrate automation equipment with industrial communication networks such as PROFINET.
- Support machine debugging, cycle-time improvements, and controls optimization.
- Collaborate with Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, and Automation teams.
- Provide technical documentation and support during equipment installation and commissioning.
Required Skills
- Strong hands-on experience with Siemens TIA Portal.
- Siemens S7-1200/S7-1500 PLC programming.
- PLC troubleshooting and controls commissioning experience.
- Siemens HMI programming/configuration.
- Experience with PROFINET and industrial communication.
- Experience with VFDs, servo systems, sensors, and industrial automation equipment.
- Ability to read and understand electrical/control schematics.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Experience supporting automated manufacturing or industrial equipment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- 3 years of controls/automation engineering experience with significant Siemens TIA Portal experience.
