Summary:
The Global Supply Analyst II (GSA II) is a mid-level role responsible for managing purchasing, planning, scheduling, and inventory across domestic and international suppliers. This position balances daily execution of tasks in addition to analytical responsibilities, supplier collaboration, and process improvement initiatives.
The GSA II conducts transactional supply chain activities along with work on strategic planning contributing to efficiency, cost reduction, and customer satisfaction.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities including the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Review daily schedules, enter inventory transfers, purchase orders, and release orders based on customer demand.
- Prepare and issue purchase orders to domestic and international suppliers, including powder coaters and polishers.
- Maintain import/export documentation and verify quantities and pricing against packing lists and invoices.
- Review and release work orders to Assembly to support customer demand.
- Expedite daily deliveries from suppliers, tracking international and domestic container and air shipments to meet customer and Assembly requirements.
- Communicate with customers regarding demand changes, shipment status, and resolve issues promptly.
- Analyze sales forecasts, historical data, and trends to develop accurate demand plans.
- Identify and resolve part shortages, supplier quality issues, and delivery concerns.
- Negotiate with suppliers for delivery schedules and pricing adjustments.
- Monitor inventory levels to ensure sufficient stock while minimizing overstock and obsolescence.
- Participate in new product release teams to represent supply chain requirements.
- Lead small-scale process improvement projects to enhance efficiency and reduce lead times.
- Develop contingency plans to mitigate supply chain risks.
- Review, track, and assign freight charges to appropriate customers.
- Collaborate with Finance to resolve pricing discrepancies.
- Work closely with Shipping, Receiving, and Quality Engineering to expedite product movement.
- Identify and resolve potential supply chain risks with Manager/Director.
- Coordinate obsolete inventory program including processing and tracking.
- Coordinate directly with customer on per part ordering capacity agreements.

- Strong understanding of supply chain and scheduling processes from order entry to supplier scheduling to on-time shipments.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and supply chain software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and customers.
- Ability to work under pressure in an environment with frequently changing priorities.
Preferred Skills:
- APICS certification (CPIM, CSCP)
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
- Experience in supplier negotiations and relationship management.
- Experience in tariff administration, tracking, implementation.
Education and/or Experience:
Must have a bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, logistics or related field plus 3-5 years of supply chain management, material planning, inventory control and customer service experience and/or any appropriate combination of education and experience.
