Responsibilities
- Leads and participates in quality management systems and assessments;
- Drives continuous improvement initiatives;
- Implements and monitors statistical process control;
- Manages critical characteristics to ensure reliability;
- Validates production lines and processes;
- Conducts environmental stress screening;
- Develops and executes Acceptance Test Plans;
- Performs First Article Testing and factory acceptance testing;
- Validates inspection and test equipment;
- Develops technical data packages;
- Prepares QE Material Release statements;
- Oversees supply chain quality processes;
- Manages nonconforming material and corrective actions;
- Performs root cause and failure analyses;
- Implements corrective actions and defect tracking;
- Conducts trend analysis for continued improvement;
- Participates in technical reviews to ensure compliance and quality standards;
- Must be willing to travel at least 10-25%.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, or related field is required. Years of experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree;
- Fifteen (15) years of experience is required with a Bachelors degree; fourteen (14) years of experience is required with a Master's degree. At least seventeen (17) years of experience is required in lieu of a degree;
- Prior Contract Specialist or Contracting Officer experience is required;
- DoD-issued Secret Security Clearance is required at start, with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance;
- Must understand defense-specific standards (MIL-STD) and AR regulations;
- Must be proficient in applying quality assurance principles during development and production phases, including inspection techniques, statistical analysis, and compliance with military and ISO standards (ISO 9001, AS9100);
- Familiarity with software quality assurance for tactical weapons systems, including compliance with standards like IEEE 12207, MIL-STD-882, and CMMI;
- Certifications in ISO 9001 for quality management, ISO 27001 for information security, and ISO 14001 for environmental compliance in defense programs.
