Job Overview
As a Guest Service Agent, you create the first and last impressions guests have of the property. Your primary goal is to ensure every guest enjoys a comfortable, pleasant, and safe stay while maintaining efficient front desk operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Guest Reception: Welcome guests warmly, verify identification, complete check-in and check-out procedures, and issue room keys.
- Reservations & Communication: Answer phone calls and emails, update reservation records, and manage room availability.
- Local Recommendations: Provide personalized information about local restaurants, transportation, attractions, and points of interest.
- Problem Resolution: Listen to guest concerns with empathy and resolve issues promptly and professionally to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Financial Tasks: Process guest payments, handle cash and credit card transactions, prepare accurate bills, balance the cash drawer, and maintain accurate financial records in accordance with hotel procedures.
Qualifications & Skills
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; a degree or certification in hospitality or a related field is an advantage.
- Experience: Previous experience in customer service, hospitality, or hotel front desk operations is preferred.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a friendly and professional attitude, patience, active listening, problem-solving abilities, and strong conflict-resolution skills.
- Technical Skills: Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with hotel Property Management Systems (PMS), reservation software, and standard office applications.
- Physical & Schedule Flexibility: Ability to stand for extended periods, perform light physical tasks, and work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and overnight shifts when required.
Pay: $13.00 - $14.00 per hour
