Overview
We are seeking a friendly and organized Salon Receptionist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our clients, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. This role is essential in managing appointments, handling transactions, and supporting the overall operations of the salon. This is a part-time position, mostly Saturdays.
Duties
- Greet clients warmly as they enter the salon and provide them with necessary information about services.
- Manage appointment scheduling through phone calls and in-person interactions, ensuring optimal booking efficiency.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including processing payments and managing the cash register.
- Assist in upselling salon products and services to enhance customer experience and increase sales.
- Maintain a clean and organized reception area, ensuring it reflects the salon's professional image.
- Provide support to stylists and other staff members as needed, contributing to a collaborative work environment.
- Address client inquiries and resolve any issues promptly to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Utilize POS systems for transaction processing and inventory management.
Skills
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor.
- Basic understanding of retail math for accurate cash handling and sales reporting.
- Experience with cash handling procedures and POS systems.
- Excellent phone etiquette for professional communication with clients.
- Previous experience in retail sales is advantageous.
