Glenwood is seeking a dedicated and professional Auxiliary Services Technician to join our organization at our Avondale campus. The primary responsibility is to maintain a safe, clean, and friendly facility. The ideal candidate pays attention to detail, has a positive attitude, is punctual and thorough, and is eager to work in a team environment.
Primary Job Functions:
- Perform general cleaning such as sweeping, mopping, and dusting
- Cleans and disinfects bathrooms and restocks supplies
- Wipes and dust surface in rooms and clean mirrors
- Vacuums and cleans floors, rugs, furniture, and other fixtures
- Cleans the refrigerator
- Empties trash, washes out trash receptacles as needed
- Washes windows and sills as needed
- Responsible for the maintenance of cleaning equipment
- Responsible for laundry, including washing, drying, and folding
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Detail-oriented and thorough
- Sufficient ability to read, write, speak, understand, and communicate in English to complete work efficiently, effectively, and courteously.
- Prior housekeeping experience preferred
Qualifications
- High school degree/GED equivalent required
- 21 years of age or older
- Valid Alabama driver's license and must be insurable through the agency’s insurance carrier
- Must be cleared through the ABI/FBI and pass all required pre-employment and background screening.
