- Develop, implement, and assess educational, cultural, and career-related programming inside and outside traditional classroom settings
- Develop and implement recruitment and retention initiatives
- Maintain open office hours for student advising and counseling
- Maintain confidential student data for annual reports

Act as a representative of the program on campus-wide committees and initiatives
- Knowledge of education issues and barriers faced by first-generation, low-income and/or disabled students
- Enthusiastic/charismatic with a passion for working with college-aged students in an educational setting
- Experience with academic, career, and financial aid advising in a higher education setting
- Knowledge of, and/or experience with, TRiO programs
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Presentation and facilitation skills
- Proven organizational, writing, social media, graphic design, advertising, and publication skills
- Goal-driven, self-motivated, energetic
- Honest and loyal
- Flexible, adaptable, ability to multitask
- Ability to work occasional evening and weekend hours
