- Communicate with Spanish-speaking parents on a daily basis via phone calls, emails and face to face interactions.
- Provide translation of district and school documents designed to inform families such as letters, bulletins, announcements, calendars, notices, webpage information, articles, flyers, newsletters, community resources communication, etc.
- Provide translation during family visits when a Spanish-speaking parent/guardian needs support speaking with office staff.
- Increase parent and family involvement in schools and establish effective communication between home and school with Hispanic families.
- Fluent in Spanish
- Previous Spanish translation experience preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2 to 3 years secretarial or related experience preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work with a minimum of supervision
- Full-time (1.0 FTE), Monday through Friday. Bilingual Liaisons work 182 days and receive 8 paid holidays, for a total of 190 paid days during the school year.

Daily schedule is as follows:
- M/T/Th/F: Length of day is 7 hours, 5 minutes with a 30 minute duty-free lunch
- Wednesdays: Length of day is 6 hours, 5 minutes with a 30 minute duty-free lunch
- This position is a Union position and follows the collective bargaining agreement between the Board of Education and Glenview Professional Association (GPA).
